The Tendring Furniture Scheme is a charity that collects donated furniture and gives it to people on low incomes.

🧊 Tendring Reuse Employment Enterprise

This group sells refurbished furniture and white goods (like fridges and washing machines) at low prices.
It’s open to everyone, but especially helps people who are struggling financially.

🎨 Housing Decoration Voucher

At the start of your tenancy, you may get a one-time decoration voucher. You can use this in selected local DIY shops to buy:

• Wallpaper
• Paint
• Other decorating materials

🕒 You must use the voucher within 3 months of getting it.
After that, you’ll need to pay for any decorating yourself.

🔁 If You Moved Through a Mutual Exchange

If you moved into your home by swapping with another tenant (mutual exchange):

• We will only do a gas and electric check
• You won’t get a decoration voucher

👉 Please make sure you’re happy with the condition of the home before you agree to the exchange.
