Can I change my Direct Debit?

If your Direct Debit payments don’t work for you anymore, you can change them. Just make sure you still pay enough to cover your rent and any money you owe.

You might need to pay a different way while you set up the new Direct Debit.

If your bank details change, you’ll need to:

  1. Cancel your old Direct Debit.
  2. Fill in a new Direct Debit form.
  3. Send the form to:
    88–90 Pier Avenue, Clacton-On-Sea, Essex, CO15 1TN
(We need the original paper form to set it up.)

The form asks for your tenancy number. If you don’t know it, contact the Rents Team:
📞 01255 686468
📧 rentsteam@tendringdc.gov.uk

You can also change the date your Direct Debit comes out. We offer these dates:
1st, 8th, 12th, 20th or 25th of the month.

To change anything, please give us at least 10 days’ notice.
