Tracey Headford is the People and Performance Manager at Braintree District Council with over 18 years of experience of local government.  In that time Tracey has worked across many services and is now responsible for HR, Learning and Development, Member Development, Performance and Improvement and Customer Services.

Tracey began her career in customer services (many, many years ago), for an insurance company where she first discovered her passion for helping people. This has now evolved into supporting colleagues in the workplace through skills development and growth opportunities and actively promotes apprenticeships as a great way for young people to explore and experience the wide ranging roles within Local Government.

Outside of work, Tracey enjoys travelling with an ambition to visit the Penguins in Antarctica. Until then, she will settle for early morning walks in the cold with her Labrador, Monty and relaxing in the sunshine with her four cats.
