If You Are Homeless or Might Be Soon

If you are homeless or might lose your home in the next 8 weeks, our Housing Solutions Team can help.

They will:

• 📝 Look at your situation
• 📄 Give you a Personal Housing Plan
  → This plan will show steps you can take to stop you becoming homeless or help you find somewhere to live.

Important to Know

We may be able to help you find a place to live, but we might not be able to give you a council home.

There are very few council homes available and about 2,000 households are already waiting.

We will likely help you by giving advice and support to find a private rented home.

Local Connection

If you don’t have a local connection to Tendring, we may send your case to a council where you do have a connection — unless you are at risk of violence or abuse in that area.
