Tendring District Council (TDC) leaders have set out their initial budget proposals for 2026/27 financial year.

Council leaders in Tendring have backed a new housing strategy that will seek to maintain and improve the authority’s well-run housing stock while preventing and reducing homelessness.

Hartley Gardens— west of Brook Retail Park and north of St John’s Road — is expected to deliver around 1,700 homes over the next 20 years.
