New subscribers

Please be advised that due to the high demand for the garden waste service, the current delivery time for bins to new customers is up to 6 weeks.

We apologise for this delay and extra resources are being put in place to reduce this lead time. We would like to thank customers for their patience in this matter and to remind customers that their contract does not commence until they have had their first collection

New customers can join the scheme anytime during the year. We will deliver a brown wheeled bin and confirm your first and future collection days. Your year's subscription will not commence until your first collection.

Existing customers

Renewals

Renewals are charged at £55.00 per brown bin.

You will receive renewal reminders prior to your subscription ending, and a final reminder after your subscription has ended.

All reminders will have all of the payment options available to you as a customer.

If you signed up over the phone and cannot access your account and would like to, please contact a member of the team who can assist you in gaining access. Alternatively, you can continue to make payments over the phone or via other methods listed.

If you pay via direct debit, your payment will be processed automatically.

Please note failure to make payment prior to the stated deadline will result in cancellation of your service. You will not be able to renew your subscription once the stated date on your reminders has passed. The Council will arrange collection of your brown bin, this should be left out ready for collection.

Failure to renew will result in a new subscription being started to resume service, this will be charged at £90.00 per brown bin.

Updating details

You can complete a range of tasks to update your subscription using our Garden Waste Service form. These include:

  • Changing/updating the subscription address
  • Transferring ownership of the subscription

You can also complete these tasks by contacting the garden waste team.

Cancellations

This is a non-refundable service. To keep costs down, we cannot refund any part of your subscription if you cancel part way through the year. We do have the option to change the address or transfer ownership to somebody else in the district.
