Statement of Community Involvement

What is a Statement of Community Involvement?

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the Council will involve it's communities and other stakeholders in the Planning process, in particular public consultation on the Local Plan and other Planning Policy documents. It also explains how the Council will consult communities and other stakeholders on Planning Applications and advises developers how best to undertake early community engagement prior to submitting their applications.

Adopted SCI

Following a period of public consultation between 22 January and 4 March 2024, the updated SCI was adopted by the Council on 1 July 2024.
