🏡 Sheltered Housing – Safe & Supportive Living for Older People
Sheltered Housing is a group of homes—like flats, bungalows or studio flats—built around shared spaces. These shared areas may include:
A lounge
Kitchen
Laundry room
Games or craft room
Guest room (depending on the scheme)
Each home has its own kitchen and living space, and is designed to help older people live safely and independently.
What Sheltered Housing Offers
Easy access for people with disabilities
Safety features and adaptations
24-hour emergency response
Social activities and a sense of community
👥 Sheltered Housing Officers
We have Sheltered Housing Officers who:
Help manage the housing schemes
Support your wellbeing and safety
Carry out assessments to help you live independently
When your officer is off duty, your emergency alarm connects to Helpline, a 24/7 Control Centre. If there’s an emergency, you’ll speak to an operator who will get help quickly.
