All investigations are carried out on a strictly confidential basis, so your details will not be revealed unless the breach of planning control becomes the subject of formal legal action. On serious breaches of planning control, which warrant prosecution, the complainant may be invited to give a witness statement if their evidence is considered crucial. Such occasions are rare and involvement is on a voluntary basis.
