Bulky Items Collection Service

The Council does not offer a collection service, you can contact Veolia directly to dispose of items, or if your item is in good condition and suitable for donation, you can contact the The Tendring Furniture Scheme.

The Tendring Furniture Scheme

The Tendring Furniture Scheme is an independent Recycling Charity that offers a free survey and collection service of furniture items suitable for donation. 

The Scheme provides a discount system for customers on benefits. Proof will be required for discount to be applied.

They also offer a free delivery service within the Tendring area for orders over £25.

The Tendring Furniture Scheme does not offer disposal of goods.

Veolia Service

Alternatively our refuse collection contractors Veolia do offer a chargeable service and will collect up to three large items at a set cost.

Please call Veolia direct on 01255 431620 for the current charge and to arrange collection. Veolia will also quote for larger items or amounts of waste.

However if you can get them to your local household recycling centre you can dispose of them free of charge.
