Pre-application advice

The Council offers a pre-application advice service to you if you are considering applying for a new animal activities licence and would like advice before you submit a licence application.

We encourage you to discuss your proposals with us before you submit a new animal activities licence application. This ensures you understand:

• Guidance on environmental requirements – this will usually involve a site visit

• Guidance on how to meet the licence conditions

• Guidance on the procedures that need to be in place and documented

• Our informal view on your proposal and the likelihood of a licence application being granted or refused

To apply for pre-application advice, please complete and submit a pre-application enquiry form. A fee is payable for this service.
