Do you have a degree in a related field and are ready to commit to a part-time post-graduate Planning degree while learning from a team of experienced and knowledgeable planning officers?

If so, you could soon be joining our friendly professional team and contributing to the ongoing and successful delivery of the Planning Service.

Over the coming years, the Council’s Planning Service will play an important role in the delivery of notable projects across the district as well as major urban expansion around Clacton on Sea.

You will be sponsored to undertake a post-graduate Planning degree while handling a caseload of applications, engaging with developers, residents, and other key stakeholders, to determine applications that maintain the character of the district, its heritage and protected landscapes whilst enabling new high-quality developments.

The Council is looking to lead the way in the fight against climate change by promoting renewable energy, energy-efficient properties, electric vehicles, and tree planting, both through its planning functions and with the development industry and other partners.
