Temporary Domestic Abuse Housing Officer

Tendring District Council has an opportunity for a Domestic Abuse Housing Officer to join our Housing Solutions team.

They will act as a single point of contact for the development of services to meet the needs of those people experiencing domestic abuse and the response to perpetrators.

The key aim of this role will be to deliver a co-ordinated approach in partnership with local organisations, to ensure that we are able to align our services to meet the requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will need to be confident, able to work on their initiative and must be able to prioritise the workload. They will be assisting clients who find themselves in stressful situations, and building good relationships with both clients and external partners is essential.

This is initially for a fixed term of 6 months and could be a secondment opportunity subject to current line manager approval.
