The Housing Solutions Team primary function is to prevent homelessness by helping customers retain their current accommodation and, where this cannot be achieved, provide access to a range of suitable alternative housing options fulfilling the Council’s statutory obligations as set out in the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
The post holder will be responsible for the line management of the team with a focus on delivering a customer focused service whilst seeking to continuously enhance the quality of the service.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a passion and commitment to support homeless households. You will be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
You will be dealing with people face to face in potentially difficult situations and managing and prioritising a complex caseload. You will be able to work with vulnerable people and be non-judgemental in your outlook and approach.
