Answering enquiries submitted via email, telephone and in person, the work undertaken will include:
• Utilising the extensive range of IT systems employed by the Service including Uniform, TLC, Word, Excel and the IDOX document management system.
• Providing Planning advice
• Undertaking research associated with land and buildings across the Tendring District.
• Recording, monitoring and preparing a range of data for response to requests submitted under Environmental Information Regulations (EIR)
The work is often fast-paced and varied so the ability to keep a clear head and adapt quickly to different situations is essential.
Planning experience is not necessary, but our ideal candidate will have:
• a wide range of IT skills
• be quick thinking and a team player
• an excellent telephone manner
• superb communication skills and
• experience in a customer-focused environment.
The ability to move from task to task without losing focus is essential as is your calm and personable attitude.
