We have an exciting new opportunity for a Leasehold Management Officer to deliver effective services to the Council’s leaseholders, including the preparation and recovery of annual service charges. We currently have 450 leasehold properties that were previously sold under the Right to Buy and just under 80 shared ownership or shared equity properties.
Using your knowledge and skills, you will contribute to developing and shaping service delivery and this role requires someone with experience in these areas who enjoys the challenges of a complex subject matter.
You will be the first point of contact for our leaseholders, solicitors and other agencies in relation to service charges, resales, lease extensions and the purchase of additional shares in our shared ownership properties. You will also seek to maximise the Council’s income through the effective monitoring and management of leasehold service charge accounts, improvement contributions and other fees.
Additionally, you will process all subletting requests, deal with general leasehold management enquiries and work to raise awareness of leasehold management, ensuring that front line officers have the knowledge and understanding on the landlords’ repairs and maintenance responsibilities, other lease and consultation requirements.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a passion and commitment to deliver quality services to our leaseholders. You will be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
Please take a look at the Job Description and Person Specification. It’s important that you read it in full and explain in your application how you meet the required competencies.
If you think that you have the skills and personality needed to join our busy, friendly team then we look forward to hearing from you.
