Tending District Council has joined forces with the Department of Work & Pensions. We are currently on the lookout for two Community Support Engagement Officers, the full time post located in Harwich and Clacton and the part time post located in Clacton.

This is an excellent opportunity to engage with people needing support in pursuit of gaining employment. You will find yourself providing 1 on 1 advice and support based on the individual needs of those you are helping, meaning a comprehensive and compassionate approach is required.

The successful candidates will be responsible for engaging different employment avenues, whether that be arranging training, further education or access to job vacancies. There is also emphasis on addressing wider issues which may cause barriers such as the consequences of debt, offending, health or drug issues.

This will also require engagement with other partners and forming excellent working relationships and the ability to provide case notes and write reports as necessary.

The post holders will work across the Tendring area and so should be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.

Satisfactory DBS check required.
