You will be providing communications support to the Clacton Town Board and Plan for Neighbourhoods project which is developing and then delivering a ten-year plan for Clacton.
Looking after the Love Clacton website and social media channels day-to-day, you will also be responsible for creating content for the Board around its work and projects, helping more and more people to Love Clacton.
Variety will be key – one day you could be recording a fun video for social media at the Clacton Airshow, and the next writing a formal press release about the Board’s Regeneration Plan, or preparing a stakeholder briefing.
Working for Tendring District Council on behalf of the Clacton Town Board, you will play your part in supporting the Clacton community – in this role by promoting the Board’s work and long-term plans.
While you will be part of a small in-house Communications Team, you will be working closely with partners who make up the Clacton Town Board, including private firms and other public sector partners – who all have a shared vision of Love Clacton.
As well as a competitive salary, you can access a number of benefits as an employee of Tendring District Council – a generous pension scheme, discounted membership at council leisure centres, ample annual leave allowance and learning and development opportunities.
The council also has supportive employment policies and offers flexible working arrangements too.
You will report into the Corporate Communications Manager in Tendring District Council’s Communications team, working closely with colleagues in the Project Delivery Unit; you will also be taking direction from the Clacton Town Board.
You will be a communications professional with some experience in project work, able to create and curate content, look after the day-to-day running of websites and social media.
