
A host of improvements to open spaces in Jaywick Sands are set to be delivered as part of this exciting project.
TDC is working with architects Adams & Sutherland and engagement specialists public works on this scheme so the community can give share their ideas to enhance the area.
It is hoped the changes will benefit people for generations to come.
The scheme also includes a new memorial garden to commemorate the 35 Jaywick residents who lost their lives in the 1953 Essex Flood, along with enhancements to the Dig4Jaywick Community Garden.
The Community Regeneration Partnership (formerly the Levelling Up Partnership) was awarded £20million in funding from what is now the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
Projects were identified by civil servants as part of a deep-dive in January 2024, based on strategic planning such as the Love Clacton vision and Jaywick Place Plan.
The aim is to provide place-based regeneration in Clacton and Jaywick Sands.
A number of these projects are being led by Essex County Council.
