This project will see Clacton Library redeveloped to bring together reading, learning, and essential services under one roof.
The new multi-storey building will be built on the existing library site and will include:
- a modern library
- a centre for Adult Community Learning (ACL)
- local registration services
The new building will feature modern, functional spaces while maintaining the current number and variety of books.
Planning permission was granted in August 2026 after residents and businesses helped shape the plans during a public consultation. Temporary arrangements will be put in place to maintain services during there development.
