🏗 Small Housebuilding Scheme – Homes Wanted

Tendring District Council is looking for local builders and landowners to help build 3 to 9 homes on small plots of land.

This is part of a national pilot project to help build more affordable homes.

🧱 What’s the Project About?

• We want to build small housing sites
• Local builders or developers will manage the building from start to finish
• The Council will pay for the homes
• Once built, the homes will belong to the Council and help meet affordable housing needs

📍 Who Can Take Part?

We’re looking for:

• Small and medium-sized builders
• Landowners with land that can fit 3 to 9 homes
• Land that is owned, under control, or easy to buy
• Sites that may be part of larger developments, but we prefer small in-fill sites

🏘 What Are the Homes For?

The homes will be used for:

• Social and affordable housing
• Built to a set specification
• Supporting people in the Tendring District
