A new district councillor and town councillor have been elected following by-elections in Frinton.
On Thursday, 5 June, voters in the Frinton ward went to the polls to elect a new councillor for both Tendring District Council and for Frinton and Walton Town Council.
The district seat was won by ReformUK candidate Anne Hilary Davis with 1222 votes.
Conservative candidate Vanda June Watling came second with 577 votes while Labour Party candidate Karen Creavin gained 168 votes, Green Party candidate Steven Walker received 93 votes and Liberal Democrat candidate Helen Claire Fontane gained 78 votes.
Turnout at the by-election was 42%.

The Frinton and Walton Town council seat was won by ReformUK candidate Fiona Ann Knowles with 1,198 votes.
Conservative candidate Vanda June Watling came second with 633 votes, while Labour Party candidate Karen Creavin gained 187 votes and Green Party candidate Steven Walker received 125 votes. Turnout at this by-election was also 42%.
