New to the cast is Nancy Edgeler-Ash as the Island Chief, bringing choreography and charisma to the stage. With a string of musical theatre credits to her name, Nancy is set to shine in Clacton this Christmas.
Completing the lineup is pantomime legend Nigel Peever as the villainous Captain Hook. With over 40 years of stage and screen experience, Nigel’s commanding presence and wicked charm promise a Hook audiences will love to hate.
Audiences will join Peter and Tink on a magical journey as they face off against Hook and his bumbling crew, with help from fairy dust and a band of loyal friends. Along the way, they’ll discover the true meaning of love, loyalty and adventure.
James Shone, of Shone Productions, said: “I’m so excited to be back for our second year producing the pantomime at the Princes Theatre.
“The Magical Adventures of Peter Pan’ is one of my absolute favourite titles to bring to life, and we’ve got plenty up our sleeves to make this year’s show bigger and better than ever.
“Expect the return of 3D magic, amazing circus performers, and spectacular flying effects - it’s going to be a real adventure.”
This year’s production also includes three special performances to make the magic accessible to even more people. A British Sign Language interpreted show will take place on Sunday 14 December at 3.30pm. A relaxed performance will be held on Thursday 18 December at 6pm, designed for those who benefit from a more informal theatre experience.
And for grown-ups, two cheeky adults-only performances will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December at 8pm, featuring risqué humour and outrageous laughter.
Councillor Gary Scott, Tendring District Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Heritage, said: “Christmas in Clacton simply wouldn’t be complete without a pantomime — and this year, we’re adding an extra sprinkle of magic to our festive tradition.
“The Princes Theatre is once again the stage for pirates, pixies, and plenty of ‘he’s behind you!’ moments, inviting families and friends to join in the laughter and cheer.
“We’re proud of our reputation for delivering pantos that sparkle with fun, and this year’s cast is a real treasure — familiar faces you’ll recognise and new stars ready to make you believe in magic.
“So, gather your loved ones, bring your best panto voices, and let’s make this Christmas the most memorable one yet at the Princes Theatre.”
