Clacton Airshow will return to the skies in 2027, with organisers confirming the dates as Thursday 26 and Friday 27 August.
The announcement follows another spectacular year for the seafront show, which once again brought fast jets, historic warbirds, twilight pyrotechnics and family entertainment to the Essex Sunshine Coast.
This year’s event marked Clacton Airshow’s 33rd year and celebrated the very best of aviation, entertainment and community spirit along Clacton’s seafront.
From the precision of the RAF Red Arrows to the sight and sound of Sally B, Spitfire MH434, the MiG-17F ‘Fresco’ and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the 2026 flying programme delivered memorable moments for every generation of airshow fan.
The popular twilight display also provided a dramatic finale to the first day, while the West Greensward Airshow Village added to the festival atmosphere with exhibitors, traders, activities and attractions for visitors on the ground.
Organised by Tendring District Council (TDC), the free event remains one of the district’s biggest summer attractions and is estimated to be worth more than £12million to the local economy.
Councillor Ivan Henderson, TDC Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Regeneration and Tourism, said: “Clacton Airshow has just given us another brilliant reminder of what makes this event so special for our district.
“For two days, the seafront was full of people enjoying world-class flying displays, family entertainment and the atmosphere that only Clacton Airshow can create.
“It brings visitors into the heart of the Essex Sunshine Coast, supports businesses, showcases our seafront and creates shared memories for residents, families and visitors.
“That success is down to a huge team effort, and I would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s show happen, from council staff and emergency services to sponsors, partners, traders, volunteers and everyone who supported the event.
“With the dates now confirmed for 2027, we can start looking ahead to welcoming people back for another unforgettable two days on Clacton seafront.”
