Your right to know
You have the right to ask for recorded information held by Tendring District Council. The legislation we use depends on what you are asking for.
- Subject access request (data protection) – if you want a copy of your own personal information, you can make a subject access request under data protection law.
- Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) – for most other recorded information held by the Council.
- Environmental Information Regulations 2004(EIR) – for recorded information about the environment (for example, land, air, water, pollution, waste and related measures).
