Ian Davidson, Deputy Returning Officer, is urging voters to have their say on 7 May.
“We want everyone who is eligible to take part in the County Council elections next week,” he said.
“Your vote helps decide who represents you at County Hall, so please make sure you’re ready.
“If you’re voting in person, remember to bring valid photo ID — it’s required at polling stations.
“And if you need any support or there are barriers to you voting, our team is here to help ensure you can have your say.”
The forms of photo ID that are accepted include a UK passport or driving licence, a Blue Badge, older or disabled person’s bus pass, PASS card or Defence Identity Card – but you can see the full list at https://www.tendringdc.gov.uk/content/voter-id.
The deadline for those wishing to register to vote has now passed.
