There is less than three weeks remaining to submit nominations for the Tendring4Growth Business Awards 2026, recognising the achievements of companies, individuals and teams.

With nominations closing on Friday, 21 June, now is the time to put in entries – with people encouraged not to assume that someone else will make the nomination.

Councillor Ivan Henderson, Deputy Leader of Tendring District Council (TDC) and Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Regeneration and Tourism, said: “We’d really value your help in making sure no great business goes unrecognised.

“If there’s a business or individual in Tendring that you believe deserves recognition, now is the perfect time to put them forward. Your nomination can help shine a spotlight on their achievements and ensure they receive the recognition they deserve.”

People are also encouraged to spread the word and share this opportunity with their networks, to help reach as many deserving businesses as possible.

The award categories for 2026 are:

  • Creative Excellence & Visitor Experience (sponsored by Esign)
  • Excellence in Innovation (sponsored by KAT Marketing)
  • Health, Beauty & Wellbeing Champion
  • Micro Business of the Year (sponsored by Black Rock Restaurant)
  • Outstanding Consultancy Services
  • Outstanding Hospitality & Service (sponsored by VGM Facilities Management)
  • Social Value Champion (sponsored by Rose Builders)
  • Team of the Year (sponsored by Pickering Group)
  • Young Businessperson of the Year (sponsored by Colchester Institute)

Submitting a nomination is quick and easy, done online at tendring4growth.com/awards/.

Two award categories are also open for sponsorship, and anyone interested in the opportunity, should email TDC’s Economic Growth team at tendring4growth@tendringdc.gov.uk for more information.
