Tendring District Council is once again taking to the road this summer with its Summer Safety Tour, a series of community events designed to help residents and visitors stay safe while enjoying all that the district has to offer.

The events are free to attend and open to all. They offer a chance to speak directly with the people who work year-round to keep Tendring safe, and to learn more about the support available locally.

Representatives from Essex Fire and Rescue Service, Essex Police, Essex Watch, Tendring Beach Patrol, the Tendring Community Safety Team, CVST, the Coastguard, and Essex Fraud and Scams were on hand to offer advice, answer questions, and share information on how to stay safe this summer.

From beach safety and fire prevention to fraud awareness and community support, the tour covers a wide range of topics relevant to everyday life in Tendring during the warmer months.

Councillor Peter Kotz, Cabinet Member for Assets and Community Safety said: “We’re proud to bring the Summer Safety Tour back to our communities. It’s a practical and friendly way to connect with residents and visitors, and to share important advice that can make a real difference.’’

‘’This tour reflects our commitment to working closely with our partners to improve the quality of life for everyone in our area.’’

Further dates and locations for the Summer Safety Tour can be found below and on TDC social media channels.

- Wednesday 30 July, Walton High Street car park

- Friday 8 August, Jaywick Sunspot

- Friday 15 August, Clacton Town Centre

- Thursday 28 August, Harwich Lower Marine Parade car park

The tour began in Harwich, where local people gathered at the Lower Marine Car Park to meet with a wide range of organisations dedicated to public safety.

Everyone is encouraged to come along, get involved, and help make this summer a safe and enjoyable one for all.
