Clacton Airshow will return to the skies in 2026, with organisers confirming the dates as Thursday 27 and Friday 28 August.
Following one of the most successful shows in its 32-year history, anticipation is already building for next summer’s event, which promises to be another spectacular celebration of aviation and community.
This year’s show, themed Legends of the Sky, drew an estimated 200,000 people to the Essex Sunshine Coast for two days of thrilling aerial displays, heritage aircraft, twilight performances, and vibrant ground attractions.
From the roar of the Red Arrows to the sparkle of the twilight display fireworks, Clacton Airshow 2025 was widely hailed as one of the best ever.
The event is organised by Tendring District Council, which last year committed to running Clacton Airshow annually up to and including 2027 – giving the show a more sustainable footing and allowing organisers to plan further ahead.
It is estimated that the show is worth more than £12million to the local economy.
Ivan Henderson, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Regeneration and Tourism at Tendring District Council, said: “Clacton Airshow is one of the East of England’s standout summer events, and this year’s show reminded us all why it holds such a special place in people’s hearts.
“It’s not just the thrill of the aircraft or the spectacle in the skies – it’s the way the whole community comes together, and the incredible boost it gives to our local economy.
“With an estimated £12million impact and hundreds of thousands of visitors, it’s clear the airshow is worth every ounce of effort.
“That’s why we’ve committed to keeping it flying high through to at least 2027.
“It’s a proud investment in our district’s identity, tourism, and future – and we’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next August.”
Clacton Airshow 2026 will take place on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 August. To help keep the show in the skies, donations are welcomed via the official website at clactonairshow.com.
