Everything you need to know

Tendring District Council is working on a project to build a major new inclusive cycling, climbing and play facility at Clacton Leisure Centre.

The proposed new facility will be FREE to use and is being designed to be fully inclusive with ramped access, accessible toilets, cycle facilities that cater for adapted bikes and wheelchairs and much more.

A complementary project could see new tennis and padel courts installed where hire will be chargeable.

TDC is working alongside Alliance Leisure to deliver this scheme.

Details on the facilities can be seen below, and you can share your views on the scheme here.

Pump Track

Suitable for BMX, scooters, mountain bikes, skateboards and inline skates, this track will cater for riders of all abilities. Initial designs have the area split into four including a beginner low-profile track, a progressive track, a pump bowl and even an exhilarating jump line.

Learn-to-Ride

This safe space is an area for new cyclists to hone their bike-riding skills. The circuit provides a route with junctions, line markings and coloured spillover zones.
