GRAB BAG

If evacuated from your home, it’s the little things that make a BIG difference:

A bag containing:

• List of prescription medication (or the actual medication)
• Toiletries
• Identity documents
• First aid kit
• Radio (wind-up or battery operated)
• Torch (wind-up or battery operated)
• Spare batteries
• Notebook, pen / pencil
• Spare glasses / contact lenses
• Mobile phone charger
• Contact List, including phone numbers
• Insurance details (policy number / contact details)
• Spare keys for house / car
• Anything else

Consider each member of your household, a book to read may help pass the time, children may want a toy or two.

Don’t forget your pets.

• Lead or carry case
• Food
• Bowls
• Bed / basket

Equipment at a Rest Centre is limited, it is EMERGENCY accommodation, take things that will make you more comfortable.

You could consider joining one of the recognised volunteer organisations.
