Bulky Items Collection Service

The Council does not offer a collection service but if your item is in good condition you can contact the Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise.

Tendring Reuse & Employment Enterprise (T.R.E.E.) is a charity providing volunteer and work placement opportunities for people in the local community specialising in those with learning disabilities. They also provide work experience places for those who are unemployed and students still in education.

TREE take donated white-goods and furniture and reuse or recycle them. Their volunteers and placements are trained in refurbishing these items.

T.R.E.E. also offers a delivery and collection service.

Refurbished quality items are then sold at low cost to the general public or given away free of charge at the discretion of the management.

TREE offer the following services:

Electrical items recycled (i.e. cookers, freezers)
Quality used furniture collected (i.e. beds, sofas)

Alternatively our refuse collection contractors Veolia do offer a chargeable service and will collect up to three large items at a set cost.

However if you can get them to your local household recycling centre you can dispose of them free of charge.
