We are pleased to advise you that we have started to launch parts of our new website including the homepage. Whilst this happens you will notice content appears from both new and old websites.From the draft core strategy consultation, the majority of objections from local residents related to the number, location and type of new homes being proposed. Many residents called for a further round of public consultation on this issue. Changes were also made to the planning system and councils were encouraged to prepare a single 'Local Plan' as opposed to a 'Local Development Framework'. In 2011, we therefore decided that it would be an appropriate time to carry out public consultation focussing on the main topic of concern - housing development, to inform the preparation of a new single Local Plan.
