Starting from Brightlingsea Harbour, the ferry journey along the picturesque River Colne to Wivenhoe is very rewarding, so sit back and enjoy the stunning panoramic scenery on your way to the quaint riverside villege of Wivenhoe. Included in the price is a main meal for FOUR persons at the Black Buoy Inn, which is steeped in martime history. Originally named the Black Boy (after the 17th Century king, Charles II) The pub dates from at lease 1712 when it was one of fifteen public houses in Wivenhoe.

The Lullaby Concerts - The Musical Puzzle

The young audiences are at the heart of the musical puzzle, as they are joined by musicians from City of London Sinfonia in an exploration of shapes, puzzles and amazing music.  Presenter Claire Henry works as a team with the children to complete their challenges and celebrate the success of their musical quest.  After the concert, the children can become musicians and have a go on some orchestral instruments. 

Please bring a cushion.  Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.

Concerts at 10.30am and 2pm   (approx 60 mins)

The pre-loved wedding event for all your old, new, borrowed and blue items. We understand how expensive it is planning a wedding and hope that you’ll be able to find a few things at our sale to lighten the money worries.  Anything from tea lights to wedding attire can be found at our sale as well as local wedding services.

This is a mother and daughter venture in the Colchester, Essex area and we really want people to feel relaxed when they come to our sales. Mums homemade cakes are sold along with tea and coffee and gives you a chance to chat to other couples and exchange hints and tips with them.

The 1st 25 adults (over 18) through the door will receive a glass of bubbly, entrance is £1.50 Children are more than welcome and are free.  If you’re looking to sell your items it is £15 for a 6ft table and the profit is all yours!

Come and meet Simon and Sophie from Close and Remote, who are the artists behind the 'Days Like These' art project in Jaywick.  The project will celebrate the beauty of Jaywick in a series of 360° watercolours and this workshop is your chance to assist the project by making a watercolour that will be displayed as part of the exhibition here at the tower.
