2021 will see the first nationally co-ordinated Royal National Lifeboat Institution Open Gardens initiative. A local event benefiting the Walton / Frinton Lifeboat Station Funding Guild. At least eight diverse Frinton gardens will be open 10am - 4pm. All gardens are within easy walking distance of each other and close to our fine shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops that our lovely seaside town has to offer. There will be the opportunity to partake of simple refreshments in a couple of the gardens. In addition to this there will be the chance to purchase plants, local artisan creations, learn about the RNLI’s wonderful legacy and there will even be a talk on bees; our remarkable and essential little garden helpers. There will be a wide array of plants, shrubs, trees in our diverse gardens, even including some prehistoric varieties, at least two of which are classed as living fossils; we hope you get to see them!
All gardens will be wheelchair friendly unless otherwise advised. Regrettably, four legged friends are not permitted.
Tickets available from Ian Smith Newsagent, 139 Connaught Ave; Fleurette, 90 Connaught Ave; and Caxton Pop up, 60 Connaught Ave, Frinton on Sea; Walton and Frinton Yacht Club, Mill Lane.
