Autumn Talks: Changing Times - Clacton's Band Pavilion

This illustrated talk charts the history of Clacton's Band Pavilion from the open space and bandstand to 3,000 seat theatre. Hosting the worlds top big bands, to amusement arcade, today's children's Fun Park, bowling alley and restaurant.  Norman Jacobs gives the story of the Bandstand and Pavilion which mirrors Clacton's own rise, fall and rise again, then celebrates it's recent revival as part of the town's regeneration. 

All talks start at 11am and are £2 for entry; free parking and refreshments provided.  Finish at 1pm
