Organisations and businesses in the cultural and creative sector across Tendring are invited to take part in a workshop to help shape a new strategy for the district.
Arts Council England has given a grant to Tendring District Council (TDC) to create a five-year strategy for the sector.
Funded by the grant, TDC has appointed consultants Black Radley to take the project forward.
They are now inviting groups to take part in the informal discussion to help shape the work.
People can take part in the drop-in session at the Council Chamber in TDC’s Weeley offices between 6-8pm on Wednesday, July 4.
Zoe Fairley, TDC’s Cabinet Member for Inward Investment and Growth, said the creative and cultural sector had a lot to offer Tendring.
“We are keen to learn more about the current landscape of the creative and cultural sector in Tendring, including its strengths, weaknesses and opportunities,” she said.
“Knowing this will help to shape our future strategy, making sure we can nurture and develop this exciting area.
“So I would urge people who work in those areas to come along to the discussion workshop and feed in their knowledge and ideas.”
Light refreshments will be available, and people can drop in and out if they have other commitments.
If you plan to attend please tell the team so they can estimate numbers by emailing the Funding Support team.
