A development which was reduced from ten to eight homes on a site at Great Bentley has been given the all-clear.
The new two storey properties will be constructed following the demolition of a number of buildings at Sturricks Farm in Sturrick Lane.
Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Planning Committee approved the plans with 13 conditions.
One of these restricts any work on demolition and building to between 8am and 4pm on Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The committee was told that two bungalows had been dropped from the original scheme and two small buildings would be kept for potential employment purposes.
The site is outside the development boundary and close to a Grade II listed building.
The detailed design and scale of the proposal was considered acceptable and would enhance the setting of the listed property.
Essex County Council raised no objection as the highway authority.
