The third round of the 2018 British Jet Ski Championships is taking place off the coast of Clacton this weekend.
It is the third time the competition has come to the Essex Sunshine Coast and will see more than 25 races take place across Saturday and Sunday.
Both veterans and novices will battle it out for the top honours, and it is likely to create quite a spectacle on the water.
Run by the Jet Sport Racing Association, racing will take place between 2-7pm on Saturday and 10.30am-4pm on Sunday, with practice sessions taking place earlier on both days.
Mick Skeels, Tendring District Council Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism, said the event had proved popular before.
“We know large crowds gathered on our beaches to watch previous stages when held in Clacton, and we hope to see people come again to watch the racing,” he said.
“Jet ski racing can be adrenalin-fuelled and is a great sport for spectators, so I would encourage you to come and watch the event.”
