A scheme to build a new home in Thorpe has been approved on appeal by a Government inspector.
Plans for the detached property next to Malting House in Station Road were originally refused by Tendring District Council (TDC) last year.
However, the applicants appealed against the decision in a bid to have it overturned and have been successful.
The site is outside the settlement development boundary and considered to be in the countryside.
However, the inspector decided that it is a sustainable development and no adverse effects had been identified.
