A Planning Inspector has overturned a decision by Tendring District Council (TDC) to refuse permission for a new home in Bradfield.
TDC planners had said the home on land to the rear of The Laund in Heath Road lay outside the settlement boundary, and therefore should not go ahead.
However a Planning Inspector has now over-ruled the Council, saying that though the property is just outside the village, it would not be isolated, the harm it would have is minimal and would be outweighed by the benefits of construction jobs.
As a result the scheme now has outline planning permission. A further planning application to agree the details of the project will need to be submitted.
