Children can get up close and personal with lizards and snakes with some school holiday fun at the Princes Theatre.
The Essex Reptile Encounter gives youngsters the opportunity to hold some of the animals – and of course pose for pictures taken by their parents.
In addition there will be reptile worksheets, drawing and colouring too for children to enjoy at the event, run by a fully licensed family-run business with 40 years’ experience.
Alex Porter, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism at Tendring District Council, which runs the Princes Theatre, said the event would be great fun for youngsters during the summer holidays.
“Reptiles are fascinating creatures, and this is a great way for families to learn more about them in a completely interactive and fun way,” Councillor Porter said.
“What better way to spend an hour of the summer holidays, and hopefully something that will inspire children for much longer.”
Hour-long sessions take place at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm on Friday and Saturday 2-3 August.
Tickets are £5 per child, and £5 for adults but with one free adult ticket for every child, available from the Princes Theatre Box Office at www.princestheatre.co.uk or on 01255 686633.
