The Bright Sparks lived up to their name by winning this year’s Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Chairman’s charity quiz.
The event at the Princes Theatre on Friday night raised a record £1,249 for Stoma Awareness (http://www.colostomyuk.org/get-involved/colostomy-day/).
A total of 34 teams packed into the theatre and the prize for the best dressed table went to Six of the Best.
It was the third year in a row that Bright Sparks had come out on top at the quiz which is staged in conjunction with the Lions Club of Clacton-on-Sea.
TDC Chairman Mark Platt thanked everyone for taking part and supporting the event.
“It seems no one can beat the Bright Sparks at the moment but that will set things up nicely for someone to come along and challenge them for their title next year,” he added.
“I know that everyone had a really fun evening and I am delighted that we raised so much for such a worthy cause.”
