A small group who pitched their tents for a party on a Clacton beach have been asked to move on.
Tendring District Council (TDC) received complaints about the two men and a woman and went down to the beach near Gunfleet Sailing Club to investigate.
The trio said they had held a birthday party last night and slept in their three tents and intended to leave.
Nigel Brown, Tendring District Council’s Communications Manager, said: “It was obvious that they had enjoyed a number of drinks and one of the men was quite aggressive initially.
“However, staff spoke to them and suggested they move on as quickly as possible. A further visit this afternoon revealed they were still there but there were signs of them packing up.”
Mr Brown added that Essex Police had been informed and the Council would look at what further action can be taken if the group remained.
