Everything you need to know

Tendring Council have successfully secured Capital Regeneration Projects funding for the delivery of improvements to Dovercourt Town Centre, including:

Victoria Street: building new, well-built social homes on two derelict sites in Victoria Street, providing decent housing that everyone deserves and refreshing the street scene around the station as somewhere people can have pride in. Milton Road: the existing car parking will be retained, with works to replace or refurbish the existing multi-storey structure: supporting the popular neighbouring Orwell Place, making the streetscape more welcoming and helping the continued success of the town centre. The Council has now successfully procured the design team to deliver new housing and public realm improvements to support revitalising the town's gateway, levelling up outcomes for residents and encourage local investment to boost the historic coastal locality's maritime status. The other projects that will be delivered by the funding include improvements to Kingsway and Harwich library, which are being delivered by our partners Essex County Council.
