Tendring District Council has secured Government funding to deliver a new Civic Quarter for Clacton and create a place that people like and feel proud of. The funding is a significant opportunity to deliver positive improvements in Clacton, provide of valuable civic services for residents, and supply decent housing that everyone deserves.

Building on the Love Clacton vision, the Carnarvon House and car park site will provide:

  • 28 new homes along Carnarvon Road: including 11 social homes.
  • Provision of community space to provide civic services for residents.
  • A remodelled car park with up to 30 EV chargers.

Following public consultation in July, our industry leading design team has been working to develop a full draft of designs based on your feedback and ideas. We would like to hear what you think of the developed designs to gather your further feedback, before the designs are submitted as part of a planning application later this year.

Join council officers and our design team on Saturday 28th September at Clacton Library to find out more about the designs, ask questions and share your thoughts & ideas.
