How the Section 106 contribution is spent

Following adoption of the Tendring District Local Plan on 11 December 2007 you may be required to enter into a Planning Obligation under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 when applying for planning permission. A S106 Legal Agreement will be required for every application* for the development of new dwellings and possibly for other forms of development.

*excludes applications for extensions, property alterations, conservatories etc. If you are unsure, please call the department on 01255 686127.

The Planning Service monitors the use of financial contributions through development very carefully. Our monthly reports show you how and where contributions have been spent.

Section 106 Financial Reports are currently under review, if you have any questions regarding these please contact Clare David on 01255 686 503 or cdavid@tendringdc.gov.uk

If you have any difficulty calculating the relevant contribution please do not hesitate to contact the department on 01255 686127
