When submitting your planning application it is important that you provide the correct fee. Paying the incorrect fee could invalidate your application.

Changes to Planning Fees from 1st October 2013
From the 1st October 2013 the government made a number of changes to the regulations surrounding planning fees. These included:
- A fee for prior approval where planning permission is granted for a change of use.
- The refund of a planning application fee where a planning application (including for approval of reserved matters) submitted after 1st October 2013, is not determined within 26 weeks. This provision does not apply if an extended period for determination has been agreed in writing between the applicant and the Council.
Paying for your application
When submitting your application you can choose to pay online (if you have submitted your planning application online via the planning portal) or by cheque, cash or card.
