Two More Flight Displays Announced for the Clacton Air Show
The 21st anniversary of Clacton Air Show promises to be an event to remember with two more flights being added to the exciting programme.
Both the King Air and RAF Tutor have now confirmed their places in the skies above the town.

They will be lining up alongside the Sea King helicopter, the world famous Red Arrows, the Vulcan, the RAF Falcons, the Hawk and Tucano who have already signed up for the show on August 23 and 24.
The event is organised by Tendring District Council (TDC) and it is still hoped to add another top name over the next week or so.
The King Air is a twin-engine monoplane which first served in the RAF in 2004 and is used as an advanced, multi-engine pilot trainer.
A variety of courses are available using the aircraft, based mainly on student’s previous flying experience.
Its combination of a well-proven airframe and advanced cockpit make it an ideal platform for the new generation of aircraft entering RAF service.
The RAF Tutor is a smaller single-engine aircraft, also used for training RAF pilots as well as being ideal for aerobatics.
It can cruise at 130kts at sea level and has the ability to climb to 5,000ft in just seven minutes.
Stephen Mayzes, TDC’s Cabinet Member for Tourism and Community Life, said the countdown to the air show has certainly begun.
“There is about a month to go and the team has pulled together an impressive list of displays for flight fans to enjoy,” he said.
“We still expect to announce another crowd-pleaser in the coming days to complete what will be a first class line-up.
“Along with all the various activities on the ground along the West Greensward there will be plenty on offer over the two days.”
The Air Show car park will again be manned by Clacton Rotary Club in West Road and will allow visitors to park their vehicles just yards from the main site.
Clacton Factory Outlet, Butler Fuels, the East of England Co-operative Society, Harwich International Port and Liberata UK are all helping to sponsor this year’s event.
