Tendring Healthwalks encourage more people to become physically active in their local community. We offer regular short/medium walks over easy terrain with trained walk leaders.
Led walks are available on Tuesdays and Thursday starting at 11.00am, with a very informal and friendly group of walkers.
All routes are well researched and assessed for safety, ease of use and interest. Everybody is welcome including children (accompanied by a parent or carer), dogs, wheelchairs & buggies (on selected routes only).
Strong links have been established with the local Cardiac Rehab Clinic, Diabetes Awareness Clinics, Smoking Cessation service, Exercise Referral Scheme, GPs and practice nurses, community services and Tendring District Council.
All the walks are carefully graded so that our walkers are quite clear which ones are suitable for them.
The walks range from 1 mile to 5 miles and vary in their demands on the walker in a variety of settings - coastal stretches, village locations & rural footpaths.
